All the Truth About Quality Custom Essays Who Really Orders Model Papers Anyway

All the Truth About Quality Custom Essays Who Really Orders Model Papers Anyway All the Truth About Quality Custom Essays: Who Really Orders Model Papers Anyway? Why do university students feel compelled to order model papers? Aren’t these â€Å"shortcuts† just for their sluggish and less academic peers? No, not really. The need to balance the course load and life makes everyone consider all variants they have. They Use Model Essays as Exemplary Papers Imagine you are a foreign student living in the United States for the first time. You are an excellent cook in your home country, and the craft comes easily to you. You begin to make friends at the university and one invites you over for a Thanksgiving dinner. This is a tradition and meal you know about, but your friend requests that you bring the dressing and cranberry sauce. You thought dressing was something you did in the morning after a shower and you have heard of strawberries, blueberries, and even blackberries, but cranberries, you have never seen in any store. So, what do you do? You jump online of course; Google has never let you down before. You are looking for a model to get an idea of what your friend expects when she/he says â€Å"dressing and cranberry sauce†. The same thing applies when using model papers. Before you begin any project you must know what it is you are creating, and what the end product should look like. This is why reviewing a model essay will be so helpful. It is your point of reference in the sea of the university confusion. They Save Time on Research, Proofreading and Editing Let’s be honest, unless you are in school to learn to be a world class researcher, do you really benefit you from endless research that must be conducted for hours? The same goes for proofreading and editing. If you have made it this far in your academic life, you have a good grasp of how to proofread and edit.   However, since you are not making research or editing your career, why spend so many precious hours on it? You have many other assignments, obligations and a life to get on with. Why not leave the research to someone else to handle? Delegation and time management are good skills to learn as well, right? They Enjoy Their Life You worked hard to get into college and you are working hard now to maintain your grades. These facts are to be commended. At the same time, you are only young once and you should also enjoy this time as well, as you will not get a make-up exam for these years if you miss them. We do not recommend being reckless, just that you should set aside time to enjoy life and balance out the work that your university course load brings. Enjoying your life will actually leave you refreshed, rested and more capable of tackling harder projects. Using a custom model essay service can free up few valuable hours so you can enjoy your life. So, as you can see, there are many reasons all types of students use writing services, and most of the reasons are legitimate and understandable, and smart.

Sectionalism vs. Nationalism essays

Sectionalism vs. Nationalism essays It could be said that both Sectionalism and nationalism increased during the Era of Good Feelings. However, the Era of Good Feelings was, to a certain degree, misnamed. By the 1820s an Era of Inflamed Feelings was beginning to undermine the Era of Good Feelings. Political giants were fighting for power and promoting the clashing economic interests of their relevant sections. In 1820 these feelings of sectionalism became painfully obvious. Missouri, wanting to enter the country as a slave state was denied that right, due to the fact that many northern congressmen did not want slavery to flourish in the virgin lands of the west. Sectionalism had reached a high point in the, Era of Good Feelings, and no one was terribly interested in the good of the entire country. The Missouri compromise was the obvious beginning of the problem of sectionalism. When Missouri wanted to enter the union as a slave state, those opposing slavery were distressed. If Missouri were to become a slave state, the slave states would have the advantage in congress, twelve slave states opposed to the eleven free states. The temporary solution to this problem was the Missouri compromise. The Missouri compromise allowed Missouri to become a slave state, but it denied this right for any future states north of the Southern boundary of Missouri, except Missouri. Many people saw this compromise only as a provisional solution to the problem between the slave states and the free states. Thomas Jefferson, who had not been paying attention to public affairs, was awakened by this Missouri question, this momentous question, like a firebell in the night, awakened and filled me with terror. (Thomas Jefferson, Letter to congressman John Holmes of Massachusetts, April 22, 1820.) Thomas J efferson went on in his letter to John Holmes to talk of the future of the country, and how the Missouri compromise was but a reprieve. John Q...

Rocks and Minerals Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 1

Rocks and Minerals - Essay Example Crushed basalt is commonly used as aggregate in highway construction and railroad ballast. Basalt can also be found in asphalt. It is also used as floor tiles and stone monument. An evidence of basalt in mars is also noted as well as basaltic rocks in the moon. Basalt appearance is uniform but can be viewed under electron microscope to reveal its component silicate mineral. Dolerite is a type of basaltic rock. It is a fine grained igneous rock commonly called diabese. Dolerite is a medium grained igneous rocks commonly found in dikes and sills. It is composed mainly of plagioclase crystals, feldspar and clinopyroxene with augite and ilmenite as minor minerals. Unlike the common basalt, dolerite crystals can be viewed under a hand lens. This is an indication that dolerite was cooled slowly than basalt. Dolerite is noted for its resistance in weathering and therefore most commonly used to build roads and monumental stones. The Tasmanian peninsula in Tasmania, Australia has the world’s largest areas of dolerite. Most of the copper ore minerals are created by weathering and is mined as mineral chalcopyrite (CuFeS2). Chalcopyrite is the most abundant mineral ore of copper. When chalcopyrite is extracted for copper, it contains 34.5% by mass copper. Other copper mineral ores can be chalcocite Cu2S, covelite (CuS), bornite (2Cu2S*CuS*FeS), malachite (CuCO3†¢Cu(OH)2), and cuprite (Cu2O). Copper mineral ores is mined for copper. Vast mountain areas are quarried for chalcopyrite, malachite and cuprite. Conglomerate is a large chunk of rock that has different minerals or rock types embedded to it. This is a type of sedimentary rock that is commonly found I beaches, rivers, and glaciers. Pebbles and small rocks are the major components of a conglomerate rock. Quartz is the most common mineral of pebble so is conglomerate. Iron oxide, calcium carbonate and silica are also tied together with all the components. Conglomerates doesn’t have

Galatea and the Swing paintings Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Galatea and the Swing paintings - Essay Example The essay "Galatea and the Swing paintings" analyzes the paintings of Raphael Santi, Galatea and the Swing. Raphael Santi is one of the most outstanding representatives of High Renaissance art style. He is considered to be the one of the most gifted painters and architects in the world. The gift of Italian painter was recognized not only by his contemporaries, but also in the next centuries. According to experts, this painter is an absolute authority in the area of classical art and the most famous picture galleries try to get his paintings. It is essential to consider the fresco of Raphael Galatea. It was created in 1512 and represents a part of wall-painting of the villa, which belonged to one of the richest men of that time. If to look at the painting, it is possible to notice that it is a typical representative of high Renaissance art. â€Å"It is perhaps no accident that the factuality of the Italian Renaissance has been most vigorously questioned by those who are not obliged t o take a professional interest in the aesthetic aspects of civilization—historians of economic and social developments, political and religious situations, and, most particularly, natural science—but only exceptionally by students of literature and hardly ever by historians of Art†.The main distinguishing features of High Renaissance were glorifying human body and the resurrection of antiquity ideals (Reynolds and Wilson 15). Galatea was based on the Ancient Greek myth about the theft of Galatea. The fresco shows the beautiful Galatea.

ICT - The Way I do Things at Home and at School Essay Example for Free

ICT The Way I do Things at Home and at School Essay I use ICT a lot at home and at school and in this report I will show how, where, when and why I use these appliances. At home there are many appliances which use ICT, for example; Microwaves, Mobile Phones etc. But there are also some appliances which I also use at school for example; PCs. And I will also show how I use these things in different ways. I use my mobile phone a lot at home, it is just one of the few ways I keep in touch with people who I dont often see and live quite a way away. There are only two ways people can contact me on my mobile phone The phone I own is a Samsung A300e which also has WAP. WAP is Wireless Application Protocol which is a standard way to connect to the internet using wireless devices; it also allows you to access information like text and images. I can use my mobile phone anywhere in the home except where I cant get a signal; the only place in the home is usually the basement. With different networks you can different signals for example I am on Virgin which does not have many satellites in space and therefore does not have as much coverage as Vodafone who have many more satellites and can cover a larger amount of land. The good things about having a mobile phone is that if there is no other way to contact friends in an emergency then it is very easy to contact them using a mobile, although there are some downsides to having a mobile phone and there are that people may contact you and you may not want them to, or you could be somewhere important like a meeting and someone could contact you either by ringing you or sending a SMS, I use digital television quite often and it is transmitted through a satellite dish which is placed on the side of the house and transmits in signals which allow more channels to be viewed than normal, the channels range from 101 to 999 but obviously there are not channels on every number some channels are skipped e.g. 666 there is just a message that says channel unavailable. With digital TV you can shop and even play games. There is also lots of information that can be found out like, cinema listings or even the latest live shows. There is always a TV guide available sorted into sections like, comedy, music or sport which is easier if you are looking for something in particular. I use a microwave at home to heat food or defrost something frozen. I use it to heat things because it is a lot more efficient than the stove. It also knocks down the time of defrosting because I can just set it to defrost and put it on for several minutes rather than leaving it out over night. I play a lot of the time on computer consoles because it is a form of entertainment for me. I play many games like football manager games and platform games such as CROC which are more like adventure games. I have a playstation 2 which can also play playstation 1 games and use the same joypads. I have many other games like Mind hunters which take hours to complete and when I usually finish them I have usually being playing for about 100 hours all together. I also use an X-BOX which is one of the best consoles of all time in my opinion, although it is slightly expensive therefore I have few games, the pads can range from small to large which I think are a bit big for my liking. I use a PC a lot at school because I do Applied ICT and I also use them to type up course work in many of my lessons e.g. English. I also use them for entertainment I go on the internet quite a lot, after I finished my work. I use sites like, mousebreaker.com and uwizone.com which is my email. When Im on email I come into contact with people from all around the world like India and the USA. This is an advantage because if there were no PCs I would be required to do all work by hand and probably wouldnt be doing ICT GCSE. When using the computer I have to abide by several laws like the computer misuse act and the copyright act. The software I use is: Word- to word process Excel- to create spreadsheets Access- to create databases Power Point- to create presentations

Normative and Educational Ethics :: Philosophy Morals Papers

The controversies in our time between teleological and deontological ethics which come down to the problem "from being to ought," referring to human being or nature, can be resolved only by an adequate conception of human nature. Taking up the ancient tradition (Plato, Aristotle, Stoa) again, we can re-examine the teleological conception of human nature as primarily instinctive and selfish, and say that human nature is constituted also by reason and that the instinctive nature is predisposed to be guided by reason or intellect. The constitutive order of the human soul, with the subordination of the instinct under the intellect, involves already some natural goodness, of which the intellect is aware (in the natural moral conscience) and for which the will strives (in a natural inclination). This is the basis for the "moral law" and for normative ethics. Thus, human nature is not selfish in itself. Although moral goodness as humankind’s perfection is an ideal, it has in us alrea dy imperfect natural beginnings, a "natural morality." In a certain sense, the moral ought of actions comes from one’s being, from the natural moral goodness of which the intellect is aware in itself, and from its good intentions. I. Problems of Foundation Seen historically, the foundation problems of ethical norms and normative ethics have been treated, in modern times, in two opposite directions, the empiricist and the rationalistic way. The former is characterized as the aposterioric way, taking the criterion of morality only from the result of experience — feelings of usefulness and happiness —, in contrast to the latter as aprioric, taking the criterion from a law of reason — universal human duties — foregoing to all experience. Kants’ ethics tried to superate the aposterioric ethics of the English empiricists, claiming, with the rationalists, a law of reason apriori, but in doing so he did not follow the way of pure rationalism. Rather he established his position as a combination of both directions, the empiricist and the rationalistic one. They form the so-called "material" and "formal" side of his ethics. The moral law of reason, the famous "categorical imperative", belongs to the formal side, whereas the objects of our actions are considered as "material", i.e. as objects of our sensitive desire or vital needs which can be given only in the field of sensible intuition. He denies with the empiricists any intellectual intuition and formulates the "paradox of method" (1) that no object or "good" can be the criterion a priori for morality, but only the categorical imperative, of which, if applied to actions, every object or good is a consequence.

Unit 11P1 Task 1 (P1, P2, P3)

Unit 11 – Task 1P1: PhysicalPhysical abuse is a type of abuse when someone is being physically harmed by another/group of person/people. It is an aggressive behaviour that results in another person having physical injuries. It could be that they don’t even use their own fists to hit someone; they may use another object to throw or hit someone with. It could be kicking or punching, restrained to a chair, being locked in a room, grabbing, and pushing, slapping, pulling hair, biting, punching and kicking.Sexual:Sexual abuse is the type of abuse when someone is forced into doing sexual acts without their consent to cause pain or humiliation. It can include horrible name calling, refusal to use contraception, causing unwanted physical pain during sex on purpose, deliberately passing on sexual diseases or infections and using objects against their will.Psychological (emotional):This is the type of abuse in which people verbally abuse someone. When someone is psychologically ab using another person, they could use insults, threats, rejection, neglect, blame, and manipulation, control, being ignorant, punishment or isolation. Well, it can be more than verbal insults, it can also be; harassment, witnessing or experiencing sexual and/or physical abuse and witnessing or experiencing any other type of abuse. This abuse can happen at home, work, school or in relationships. Financial: Financially abusing someone could be taking advantage of them for their money. It could be that someone trusts someone else to get their money out of the cash machine for them and they take out more money than they were supposed to and keep some for themselves, they take money out of someone else’s home whilst they are meant to be looking after them, someone borrowing someone else’s money and never paying them back, stealing someone else’s belongings from their home or private bag, someone taking someone else’s benefit or pension if they are an older perso n and someone asking for money when they are visiting you socially or for visiting you socially.Neglect:This is the type of abuse where carers are fulfilling someone’s basic needs; this may not be intentional but can be dangerous to any person who is experiencing it. There are three types of neglect; Mild; This is when it’s usually not reported to social services as it may not be intentional and the carer doesn’t know that they are neglecting and could turn things around. Moderate; This is where moderate harm is happening to the person, it could be that they have not been appropriately dressed for the weather by their carer e. g.Shorts and sandals in winter conditions. This can be reported to social services and they usually sort out community groups to help them be appropriate for caring. Severe; This is where long-term harm has been done to an individual by the carer e. g. a child with a medical condition and the carer has not been giving them medication to he lp them get better so it has gradually gotten worse. This is the situation when authorities or the manager of the company should keep the carer employed or would have to make a choice of whether the individual should stay in that care or not.Discriminatory:This is the type of abuse when people treats other people different because of, for example, their weight, their race, skin colour, their sexuality, their age, religion, culture, choice in clothes or because of their gender. Domestic violence:This is the type of abuse when an incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality. This sort of abuse if rarely a one off, it usually has a pattern if it is happening in the home environment.Institutional:This abuse is the type of abuse that happens in a care, nursing or residential home. It can include; neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, discriminatory abuse, psychological and emotional abuse or financial abuse.Self-harm:This is the type of abuse where someone causes deliberate pain to themselves with intentions that they definitely will harmed whatever they decide to do. It can be self-harming (cutting themselves), jumping from a height or playing with fire.It could be having an intake of substances that will cause harm to internal organs or having an intake of a recreational drug to cause harm to themselves. It could also be that they are neglecting themselves too. For example, not taking showers, not eating, not drinking, not dressing for the appropriate weather.P2If you approached a person and they would flinch if you lifted you hand near them, this would usually lead you to believe that they are being physically abused, as it shows that they are really nervous around physical contact between people and their expectation is that you’re going to hurt them like other people have. Also, if you found bruising to the upper arm, bruising around the mouth and burns on their body, this would also lead you to believe that they are being physically abused by someone as they are mystery bruises that usually wouldn’t appear there unless they have been grabbed, hit or burnt with something by someone. If they did it themselves by accident, they would usually be able to explain that but sometimes people can’t which would make you believe even more th at they are being physically abused by someone Malnourishment, dehydration, unclean/poor hygiene and weight loss would lead you to believe that someone is being neglected. This is because if they are not being treated properly, not being fed or given enough water, it can lead them to be like this. Other people will soon realise that the individual is being neglected before the person doing it and the victim does. Reluctance to be touched, embarrassment and low self-esteem would lead you to believe that someone is being sexually abused. This is because they may have been humiliated or been made to do humiliating things by someone who would cause them to be less happy with themselves and be embarrassed easier in the future.Being sexually abused by someone else can make that individual be weary of other people touching them in a sexual way or if it has really affected them, they may not like being touched by someone at all.P3If an adult has additional needs and are dependent on other, i t can frustrate their carer as they are not able to learn or get on things as fast as others. If the carer gets too frustrated with the individual without taking any breaks then that could lead them to get frustrated too.The carer could then turn around and hit the individual or verbally abuse them as they see it as the only way they are able to get their frustration out at this point. When people are in the doctors, GP surgeries, dental surgeries and hospitals, they can get a bit agitated because they might have to wait a bit longer because there are loads of people there that have made appointments and might take it out on the staff or other patients. This could lead to physical or verbal abuse towards other people.

A Comparison of Attitude, Personality, and Knowledge Predictors of Service-Oriented Essay

The research design that was used in this study was correlational non-experimental. The variables that were studied included confirmatory factor analysis, item-to-total correlations, improvement in the Cronbach’s alpha statistic, and attitudinal and personality antecedents. With the use of antecedents, the job satisfaction measure incorporated seven items on a variety of extrinsic and intrinsic work related aspects and one global job satisfaction item. Two studies were conducted to investigate the attitude, personality, and knowledge antecedents of service oriented OCBs. It consisted of participants, whose responsibilities included answering customer service inquiries, responding to customer problems, and selling and recommending services over the phone. There were 325 employees who agreed to participate in the study in exchange for 1 hour of overtime pay. With the second study, the participants included staff and part-time employees of five libraries at a university who had customer contact as part of their daily responsibilities. They represented several departments that have customer contact including circulation, document reserves, and government publications. The relationships proposed were that job satisfaction would be positively related to the service-oriented OCBs of loyalty, service delivery, and participation. Also it expects POS to be positively related to contact-employee loyalty, service delivery, and participation OCBs. They also expected the following: a positive relationship between service orientation and loyalty, no relationship is expected between empathy and loyalty OCBs, the trait richness will be positively related to contact employee loyalty, service delivery, and participation OCBs, and lastly that strategy richness will be positively related to contact employee loyalty, service delivery, and participation OCBs. The study concluded that the results in both studies were virtually identical. The hypotheses in this study were proven after the information was gathered and evaluated. There are no recommendations that I would change within this study, however, I would have applied the study to other employee types. The Influence of Motivation to Attend, Ability to Attend, and Organizational Commitment on Different Types of Absence Behaviors Journal of Managerial Issues James P. Burton, Thomas W. Lee, Brooks C. Holtom This study used the experimental design to conduct data. There were three types of variables that were used in this study which included independent, dependent, and controlled. The dependent variable was a time lost measure of absence that was used where the total number of days absent per employee was observed for a period of ten months following the administration of the survey that was used on 214 employees. The independent variable was the motivation to attend work which was measured by three items that assessed the degree to which an employee is motivated to go to work every day. Also the ability to attend was measured by four items along with organizational commitment which was measured by the items from Meyer and Allen’s. The controlled variables were age, gender, tenure, and level of education. There were five hypotheses that were proposed: 1) Ability to attend will be positively related to the frequency of absenteeism that is attributed to family issues, 2) Ability to attend will be positively related to the frequency of absenteeism that is attributed to transportation problems, 3a) Motivation to attend will be negatively related to the frequency of absenteeism that is attributed to illness, 3b) Ability to attend will be positively related to the frequency of absenteeism that is attributed to illness, 4) Motivation to attend will be negatively related to the frequency of absenteeism that results in failure to notify the organization, and 5) Motivation to attend will mediate the relationship between affective, normative, and continuance commitment and absenteeism. Hypothesis 1 was proven to be accurate, hypothesis 2 and 4 failed to gain significant R2 when the various absenteeism variables were regressed onto motivation to attend and ability to attend. Hypothesis 3a was supported after data was conducted, and Hypothesis 5 could not be conducted because motivation to attend was not significantly related to overall absenteeism. I was unable to find any flaws with this study and do not have any recommendations to change.

The Horrible consequences of Doing Ballet essays

The Horrible consequences of Doing Ballet essays If you are young and thinking about joining any activities or sports, do whatever you please, but avoid ballet at all costs. For when you are young, you make decisions, which will alter your whole life. If you want to suffer the excruciating pain like a slave forced into labor for everyday of your life, then ballet is the thing for you. Not only will you suffer the discomfort of the leotard, you body will moan, groan, twist, and wither under the pressure of bending your legs in ways which they do not bend and stretching to an extreme to where you are numb with pain. This pain is everlasting and will haunt you until your death in which your soul will still shudder at the very thought of ballet. For once you join ballet, you are enslaved like a common house slave, into all the cruel and unusual punishments that come with learning it. It is not a thing that is to be taken lightly for you cannot undo the feeling of soreness or ache that comes with learning to do the splits o. Your legs will forever remain bent in the new ways that you teach them to bend. Your mind will never forget the feeling of dread before a dance competition or the pang of wearing a leotard and a tutu. For ballet is like a curse, a curse upon your body, soul, and spirit. This form of dance will grasp at your heart and suck all life and passion out of it until all that is left is a hollow shell in which your spirit will surely shrivel and die. Doing ballet and forcing your body to do things which it is not naturally trained to do is like forcing a full-grown man to bend in half, or a slave to work hard hours under a hot sun day after day. And yet if you avoid it, if you do not contact this form of dance and do not choose to do it, you will live a long, happy life in which you will be able to cherish every morning in which you open your eyes and every night when you close them. If you do not do ballet, your soul will not be withered and your body will not be tort...

one essays

one essays Its one love, one blood, one life we get to do what we should. One life with each other; sisters, brothers. One life, but were not the same, we got to carry each other... U2, in my opinion, is one of, if not the most noteworthy band of its time. Starting their band as 14, 15 and 16year olds, U2 started to appear on the scene in the 80s. This rock band has set a precedent for other bands to live up to. These boys from Dublin have used their art to bring attention to views and issues that affect them and the people of the world. Topics such as religious prejudice, love and self-expression have often been recurring themes in their music. Their song One particularly stands out as probably their best, and most significant song. One brings about Bonos views on life, love, and companionship. Love is a temple, loves a higher law... Love is one of U2s themes in the song One. The emotion of love is a multisided feeling. A person can love their family, their friends, and their spouse and all forms of that emotion encompass a different feeling. Aside from the love aspect of this song, Bono also sings about life, and how people should concentrate more on living their life to the fullest instead of just getting by. Its one life, we got to do what we should. The idea that U2 is trying to get across is that many people do not consider the consequences of their actions before they act. I feel that many people do not get to know enough of the peers to the extent where they would say they love them. And this is unfortunate, for love is an emotion that a person can keep giving. There is no limit on the amount of love a person can offer, and not enough people express themselves accordingly. In reference to living life to the fullest, I strongly feel that not enough people do. Too many people put off things ...

Gun Control Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

Gun Control - Essay Example It is suggested that in a typical year, the possibility of murders committed by use of firearm is two out of three. Different demographic groups are affected by crime differently. Victims attributed to violent crime include; the low-income earners and those living in developed urban areas. Not only are the people in this kind of demographic division more likely to be the victims but also possibilities of them being perpetrators are also high as well. Repeatedly, the issues relating to crime are normally told in a statistical perspective rather than real life stories (Wilson, 2007, p. 2 & 3). Officials in elected posts opt for scare tactics rather than reasoning while dealing with the gun control issue. Opinions have been raised regarding the guns control issue with some of the opinion that gun control will reduce violence crime while others are of the opinion that gun control is unwanted interference into a citizen’s personal affairs (Wilson, 2007, p. 4). How has the gun indus try prevailed against additional strengthened gun control laws? The gun industry has employed various tactics to ensure that they remain in the market despite the numerous additional laws that are legislated for the sole purpose of controlling guns within the American community. Wal-Mart, which is regarded as America’s largest retailer of firearms, has been indicated to be intergrading with democrats as well as president Obama’s policies and in particular the health care reform bill. In support to the government’s reforms in the health care Wal-Mart suggested that it supported the notion that companies ought to contribute to its employees’ cost of health care. It is such moves in one way or the other create a soft spot on the government in regards to the firearm industry (Roig-Franzia, 2009, p. 2). The gun industry has also used sections of the existing laws to its advantage as indicated by Roig-Franzia. The mayors against illegal guns group is said to ha ve failed to repeal amendments brought forth by Todd Tiahart that prevented the bureau of firearms from sharing crucial information on the grounds of privacy. This kind of amendments only help to assert more market share to the gun industry as most of the clients will be willing to purchase a firearm on the basis that their privacy is guaranteed (Roig-Franzia, 2009, p. 2). Policies that restrict or control the use of gun have a dim future ahead as they are bound to fail according to the gun rights advocates. This is because most of the perpetrators of crime most of the time possess a firearm through illegal means that might include stealing or buying it from the black market. It is also suggested that by using the gun control, crime rate might rise, as the criminals will be confident while attacking their victims as the probability of the victim to be unarmed is high. In conclusion, these perspectives only increase the life of the gun industry even more (Wilson, 2007, p. 11). Accord ing to Bruce and Wilcox, the role of the Regan administration was minimal in the deliberation of gun control issues by the congress. The NRA on the other hand kept up extensive efforts to ensure Attorney General was neutralized in terms of his reserves to McClure Volkmer bill. It is the passage of the legislation in 1986 that indicated the NRA’s zenith influence especially on Capitol Hill. NRA campaigned vigorously in Washington D.C and its grass roots. The NRA is said to have

Walmart in Mexico Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Walmart in Mexico - Essay Example The barriers to inclusive workplace in first level include discrimination, prejudice, and perception of threats to job security. One of the barriers to an inclusive workplace for Walmart in Mexico is possible discrimination that may occur on the basis of age, race, national origin, gender, disability and pregnancy. There are concerns on whether Walmart will foster the provision of equal opportunities to women and minority groups who mainly speak Spanish language. Discrimination leads to unfair terms and conditions of employment since training opportunities, promotions and compensation. Accordingly, discrimination will lead to unfair dismissals and retrenchment of workers at the company. Walmart workplace policies require some employees to work for longer hours thus creating perceptions of discrimination. Furthermore, the company is faced with instance of sexual harassment and unfair victimization and this may hinder inclusion and diversity. Walmart must address discrimination through providing equal employment opportunities in all matters of employment such as training, promotion and dismissals. The company should link the pay to performance evaluation and ensure the minority groups have access to training in order to improve their chances of career progression with the company. The company should provide the necessary facilities and equipment for the workers with disability and avoid stereotypes. The management should train all subordinates on the importance of avoiding sexual harassment or victimization that may hinder inclusive workplace. The human resource managers must encourage reporting of discriminatory complaints by the employees. Implementation of anti-discriminatory workplace policies will promote inclusion and diversity at the workplace. The individual employees will benefit from access to career advancement and promotion opportunities that will ultimately translate to increased income
